Brandi Delancey, Susan Stroud, Adrianne Dubins met while working in the trenches of the healthcare industry. They were first hand witnesses to the changing demands that technology put on insurers, providers, patients, and caregivers. Balancing the need for privacy with the benefits and drawbacks of a society increasingly reliant on technology was a hallmark of many of their projects.

Then, in 2018, Susan and her family suffered a devastating loss. Her cousin, a young veteran, took his own life after a long struggle. There should have been services available to assist him but he was unable to overcome the barriers to access them.

That was when she became determined to find a better way so this type of tragedy could be avoided. Together, Susan, Brandi, and Adrianne combined their experience to create an app to cut through the bureaucratic red tape that prevents veterans from getting the help they need and Lifequipt was born.

Lifequipt was originally conceived as an app that could help veterans manage the transition from military to civilian life. The process can be so time consuming and confusing that it begins a year prior to retirement. Lifequipt would offer veterans assistance in keeping up with the over one hundred and fifty tasks necessary to complete the transition.

One of the services the app offered was a vault that kept all of their documents easily accessible in a secure, encrypted space on their phone. This turned out to be the most valuable aspect to their users.

Today, Lifequipt is an app that aims to streamline the process of navigating the healthcare system by providing an organized and secure digital file cabinet for storing and sharing medical, legal, and financial documents. With cutting edge technology that keeps personal information encrypted, Lifequipt users can breathe easier with the knowledge that their data is accessible yet protected.

For veterans navigating the transition from military to civilian life, caregivers struggling to provide the best care for their loved ones, and individuals who are just trying to take care of their own needs, Lifequipt can ease the burden of dealing with institutional bureaucracy, giving users back control of their data, their time, and their life.
